Procrastination at its finest

As I sit here and type this out, I know there's plenty of other things I could and should be doing. One of those important things would be to start getting all my stuff together to take down to Disney, but that's kinda hard to do at my boyfriend's house. I also need to make my lists so I don't forget anything, but of course when I feel like doing that, I can't think of almost anything that I probably need. On top of that, I need to get a car inspection, oil change, and get a chip on my windshield fixed before my departure. And of course there's the fact that before somebody leaves for a while, they become the person in high demand, which I'm experiencing now. How do I fit everybody into three weeks when I still have to work for the next two and have to pack and take care of everything? I'm not sure that it's possible.

I do know one thing. I'm ready to get the hell out of Buffalo! Granted, the weather has been really awesome this summer so far and I'm happy about that, but I'm starting to go a little bit crazy. It could be that coupled with my job, but I need to get out, now. The only thing that's gonna suck about not being here is not seeing my family/friends/dog, missing the Erie County Fair, missing the Stooge Fest that my dad puts on every year (don't ask), missing my cousin's wedding, being able to eat legitimately good pizza and wings, and TIM HORTONS! I know for sure that I'll start to crave that, most likely as soon as I'm far enough away where I can't turn around and go get an iced capp. Regardless, this whole experience is worth it and I'm sure I can find a lot more things right with Orlando/Kissimmee/Lake Buena Vista than I can with Buffalo.

Question for those of you reading this. Does anybody have any idea what the deal is with renter's insurance? I've probably heard "we need it" or "we don't need it" about forty eight times and I still have no idea who's right. People who are down there now say that we don't have to have it because they weren't required to get it, but then you have people who didn't get down there yet saying that Disney is requiring it now, starting with us fall 2010ers. Wtf? I don't have anything that great of value that I'd even want insured while I'm down there. I've never been more confused in my life...

I'll wrap this one up for tonight. I'm sure it's hard enough to get readers, let alone people who will even begin to read long posts like this. I'll have to learn how to not be so wordy in the future.

  1. I know some August 9th people just got an email from Disney saying that renter's insurance is required. Disney doesn't want to be held liable if your stuff is damaged, lost, or stolen.

  2. The fact that Disney isn't liable for your property has been in existence for years. This isn't new. That they are saying it is required is.

I would say that if there is an email from Disney saying that it is now required, it is probably much safer to assume that that is correct than people who aren't disney saying that it isn't.(alumni, current CPs, random person down the street who mumbles to themself.)

And really, don't even trust me. Email Housing. It is their rule.
